I couldn’t find the edition that I wanted, so I taught myself how to make it.

Hey, I’m Dani. I’m so glad you have found your way to my page.

I started bookbinding in 2025 with a fabric-covered rebind of ACOTAR. Fabric covers were the obvious starting point, but I wanted to bring my own art into the book, not just wrap it. So I started illustrating the covers myself, drawing the characters and scenes straight from the story I was binding. I am a self-taught bookbinder and digital artist based in Wollongong, Australia, working from a home studio.

Every illustration is hand-drawn in Procreate, and every rebind is crafted by hand with care, using premium materials and meticulous attention to detail. I print it, foil it, edge it and bind the book myself. Nothing is licensed in, nothing is outsourced, and nothing is generated.

A rebind starts life as a paperback and the text block is never altered. Everything around it changes: a foiled front, spine and back, illustrated endpapers at both ends, metallic gold page edges, and a premium laminated finish. Finished size is roughly 13.5cm wide by 20.5cm tall.

Where to start

A Court of Thorns and Roses

Most people begin with book one. A winter hunt on the front cover, a spring manor on the back, and two endpaper spreads inside. Books two, three and four are made the same way and are designed to sit together on a shelf.

All four are made to order in Australia. Current processing time is approximately 2 to 4 weeks depending on order volume.
